As one of the first states to offer free pre-kindergarten to children age four, regardless of family income, Florida’s VPK prepares early learners for success in kindergarten and beyond by using educational materials corresponding to various stages of development. To be eligible, children must live in Florida and be four years old on or before September 1 of the current school year.
